Mrs. Mackenzie is a Florida native who grew up in nearby Plant City. She has a heart for homeschooling since she was homeschooled throughout elementary and middle school. Mrs. Mackenzie understands how homeschooling and faith based learning can shape someone’s life in the best way! Because of this, she is passionate about ensuring her students develop a love of learning while also pointing them to Christ every step of the way.
Mrs. Mackenzie graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Central Florida while also playing softball for the Knights. Upon graduating from college, she married her college sweetheart and moved to Tampa. She began teaching in Hillsborough County and taught from 2016-2020 in 1st and 3rd grade. She stepped away from public school when her son was born in 2020.
During these past 4 years she has been focusing on raising her three little ones while also continuing to teach through being a private softball instructor.
Mrs. Mackenzie has always had a heart for teaching and believes that every child can find their love of learning. She believes that we are all created in God’s image and that He has given us all unique gifts. Her job as your child’s teacher at AATC is to help them grow in their love of Jesus, grow their God given gifts, and grow academically.
